Core Exchange

This product requires a core exchange or refundable core deposit.

If your standard turbos are still fitted to the vehicle and cannot be removed and sent in prior to ordering, you can pay a core deposit. This deposit will be refunded once Pure Turbos has received and inspected your standard undamaged turbochargers.

Euroflow will manage the return of your standard turbochargers back to Pure Turbos in the United States.

Cores must be returned to Euroflow in Perth within 30 days of receiving the new turbochargers. If the cores are not received by Euroflow within this 30-day period, there will be a 17.5% reduction in the refundable core amount.

To avoid potential damage in transit, please reuse the packaging and boxes supplied with the new turbochargers. We recommend keeping all packaging from the new turbos until the core return has been completed.

Please take note of exactly how the new turbochargers were supplied, including wastegate position, fittings, hardware and any accessories. The returned standard turbos must be packed and returned in the same manner as the new turbos were received.

Cores must be standard, complete and undamaged. Damaged, incomplete or modified cores may affect the refundable core amount.

Any damaged studs, damaged housings, missing components or incomplete returned cores may result in additional charges or a reduced refund.

Installing Your Turbochargers

Professional installation is required.

Before installation, the engine must be checked to ensure it is operating correctly and meets manufacturer specifications. The following installation checks and procedures should be followed:

  • Change the engine oil

  • Replace the oil filter

  • Replace the air filter

  • Replace the oil supply line in all petrol and race fuel applications

  • Clean the oil supply line in diesel applications where applicable

  • Do not use thread sealer or silicone on any oil line

  • Check the oil drain for flow restrictions, including kinked rubber sections, deteriorated hoses or sharp bends

  • On fresh or remanufactured engines and cylinder heads, flush all oil passages before installation

  • Check the intercooler or aftercooler system where applicable

  • Remove and thoroughly clean the intercooler before installation

  • Replace the air filter element

  • Check for flow restrictions on both the intake and exhaust sides, including the catalytic converter

  • Check for and remove all foreign objects from the intake air tract

  • Secure all intake hoses correctly

  • Replace any crankcase breather elements where required

  • Verify the actuator C-clip is secure

  • Verify the oil drain direction is vertical

  • Verify the tightness of all clamps and bolts

  • Secure lock tabs where applicable

  • Remove all tools from the engine bay before starting the engine

Before starting the engine after installation, disable either the fuel or ignition system so the engine can be cranked without starting.

The engine must be cranked until normal oil pressure is developed. Once oil pressure has been achieved, the engine may be started.

This oil pressure priming procedure should also be repeated after all future oil changes.
