🔧 Installing Your Turbo

  1. Confirm the engine meets manufacturer’s operational specifications.

  2. Replace engine oil, oil filter, and air filter.

  3. Replace the oil feed line (petrol/race fuel) or clean it (diesel).

  4. Do not use silicone thread sealers on oil lines.

  5. Check oil drains for restrictions like kinks, collapsed hoses, or sharp bends.

  6. Flush oil passages on new or remanufactured engines and cylinder heads.

  7. Clean the intercooler or aftercooler thoroughly.

  8. Check for intake and exhaust flow restrictions; remove any obstructions.

  9. Replace crankcase breather elements and ensure a clean intake tract.

  10. Confirm actuator “C” clip is installed and oil drain orientation is vertical.

  11. Tighten all clamps and bolts; secure any lock tabs if applicable.

  12. Remove all tools from the engine bay before starting.

  13. Disable the ignition or fuel system and crank the engine to build oil pressure.

  14. Once oil pressure is confirmed, start the engine.

  15. Repeat the oil priming process after every oil change
