Capable of handling over 1,500hp, the engineers at PTG have developed a steel sleeve in conjunction with Darton Sleeves that is made to work with stock or PTG pistons.

This can be an upgrade or repair to an existing M177 engine block with eight steel liners that are precision machined and honed to the exact piston size. The benefits of this is perfect piston to wall clearances for a lifetime of use on the engine with zero issues.

All engine blocks go through a scrutinizing process to ensure all tolerances are above OEM AMG standard. These are the follows steps taken to validate the engine block.

  • Deck Height and Machining of Deck
  • Check Line Hone
  • Physical and Chemical Check for any Imperfections or Cracks
  • Machine and Install Darton Sleeves
  • Electro & Vibration Check for Sleeve Sink
  • Precision Hone to exact sizes down to the .00001"
  • Line Hone Check & Hone down to the .00001"
